Who am I?

I have lived in NC my whole life and must say after traveling most of the US I appreciate NC the most because there are mountains on one side, beaches on the other, and thousands of places to venture outdoors! My interest and appreciation for art started when I was in elementary school, however, I had no idea that all of those scribbles on paper would evolve into a career as a designer. Photography became an interest of mine in high school. My first class was all about black and white photography. I remember taking pleasure in all of the time spent in the darkrooms processing images by hand; it was always magical watching my images appear on the paper as they processed in the developing solution.

My education at Appalachian State University (ASU) in Boone, NC furthered my knowledge and interest in design and photography as a career. Through ASU came the opportunity for me to intern at the American Broadcasting Company in New York, where I did a range of artistic tasks and even incorporated some photographs taken from around the city into my designs. 

I now work as a full-time graphic designer in Charlotte, NC, do freelance on the side, and have also started my own business taking photographs for clients, friends, and family.
